Design Options: Extended Wear- With extended wear contacts, more oxygen is allowed to reach the cornea, thus allowing for overnight wear. Most extended wear contact lenses can be worn for up to seven days; some newer kinds for even longer. Gas Permeable- GP lenses are firm durable lenses, oxygen can pass through the GP lens resulting in better eye health and comfort. They are easy to handle and clean and last longer than soft lenses. Bifocal- Bifocal lenses have two prescriptions in the same lens. These are often needed when near vision blurs while using eyeglasses or contact lenses that correct distance vision. Toric- Toric lenses are needed if you are told that you have an astigmatism. Toric lenses have two different powers in the lens and are made to stay in place. The fitting for toric lenses is a little more extensive than traditional lenses and requires more expertise from your eye care professional. Disposable- Disposable lenses are replaced every two weeks or sooner and are very common for their health and convenience benefits. Contact Lens Brands: Vistacon/Accuvue Bausch & Laumb Ciba Cooper |
